We expect that the FKTPs can provide primary services to JKN-KIS members to completion to prevent the risk or worsening of disease.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) has continued to urge first-level health facilities (FKTPs), primarily public health centers, to optimize promotional and preventive services.

“Coordination and optimization of promotional and preventive services must be done well by FKTPs,” BPJS Kesehatan's President Director Ali Ghufron Mukti said in a press statement issued on Saturday.

“This is done to create a healthy ecosystem for the entire members of JKN-KIS (National Health Insurance and Healthy Indonesia Card),” he added.

Through the strong commitment of all FKTPs in conducting promotional-preventive service efforts, their performance, which is linked to their capitation (KBK) calculation, is expected to improve.

It is also expected to create a healthy environment for people.

The KBK takes all efforts conducted by FKTPs, including promotional and preventive efforts within the JKN-KIS program, into account in performance calculations to determine capitation.

The provision of teleconsultations throughout the pandemic is also calculated as an FTKP performance achievement that affects the contact number on KBK.

BPJS Kesehatan has urged all FKTPs to innovate to provide remote service and facilitate access for JKN-KIS members.

"We expect that the FKTPs can provide primary services to JKN-KIS members to completion to prevent the risk or worsening of disease," Mukti remarked.

BPJS Kesehatan is striving to optimize services by providing Moblie JKN application, BPJS Kesehatan website, Chat Assistant JKN (CHIKA), and FKTPs for accessing health history screening and health examination services.

According to BPJS Kesehatan, in 2021, the number of JKN-KIS members who accessed health history screening services stood at 2,205,979, far more than the previous year, when their number was recorded at 195,675.

Earlier, Mukti noted that BPJS Kesehatan has prepared a number of steps if the COVID-19 pandemic status changes to endemic.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, he informed that the steps include strengthening FKTPs as gatekeepers.
