Earlier, Acting Head of BNPB's Data, Information, and Disaster Communication Center Abdul Muhari urged the people to remain cautious on account of the fact that several regions in Indonesia have started to enter the transition season.

Extreme weather, tornado, and high-intensity rains of short duration can still potentially occur until the middle of April this year, he noted.

"However, of course, we should still be wary that high-intensity rains of long duration can still occur in several places," he elaborated.

To maintain their safety, Muhari urged the people to keep abreast of the weather forecast.

If extreme weather occurs while conducting outdoor activities, he called on the people to stay away from large trees, billboards, and tall power poles, as these are where injuries and fatalities will likely occur.
