The total gasoline is predicted to increase by approximately 5 percent due to an increase in homecoming traffic, which will be dominated by private cars and motorcycles
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) has assured of the availability of domestic energy in the form of fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and electricity during the Eid al-Fitr period.

According to BPH Migas head Erika Retnowati, the availability of fuel oil Pertalite is normal at 17 days, Pertamax at 32 days, Pertamax Turbo at 59 days, diesel at 21 days, Dexlite at 2 days, Pertamina Dex at 72 days, Avtur at 37 days, and kerosene at 45 days.

"The total gasoline is predicted to increase by approximately 5 percent due to an increase in homecoming traffic, which will be dominated by private cars and motorcycles," she informed at a press conference in Jakarta on Monday.

The gasoil (diesel) stock will decline by 5 percent due to restrictions preventing logistics vehicles and large trucks from entering toll roads and non-toll roads during the Eid homecoming period from April 28 to May 1, and during the Eid return flow from May 7–9, Retnowati informed.

Furthermore, the availability of LPG is also sufficient for 13 days as of April 23, 2022.

BPH Migas has projected that the distribution of LPG, in general, during the Eid period will increase by around 3 percent compared to the normal distribution average.

As for the electricity sector, the prognosis for the electricity system is generally safe, with the power supply reaching 43.30 gigawatts. The peak electricity load is estimated to reach 32.20 gigawatts, with an operating reserve of 11.19 gigawatts or 34.78 percent.

Ahead of the 2022 Eid homecoming, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has established a national post for the ESDM sector and appointed BPH Migas as its coordinator.

The national command post has been set up for 17 days, from April 25 to May 11, 2022, and comprises four posts, namely, the BBM post, the LPG and natural gas post, the electricity post, and the geological disaster anticipation post.

"This post has the task of ensuring the availability of fuel, gas, electricity, and (monitoring) disaster conditions so that they are always updated and ready to handle any problem quickly to avoid interference in the public holiday activities," she remarked.
