He noted that the five regional roads whose construction began and concluded in 2023 are located in four districts in NTB.
"They are located in West Lombok, West Sumbawa, Sumbawa, and also Bima," he remarked during the inauguration of the Lembar-Gili Mas IJD Road Segment in West Lombok District.
The head of state further underscored that the government had allocated a budget totaling Rp211.84 billion (around US$13 million) for the five regional roads spanning 40.63 kilometers in total.
"This is not a small budget," he affirmed.
Jokowi then expressed hope that the construction works on five regional roads on NTB's Lombok and Sumbawa islands would enhance the smoothness of logistics mobility from logistics centers to other zones in the province.
"Proper roads can support (the mobility) to agricultural areas, plantation areas, and other areas," he highlighted.

Lembar-Gili Mas is a segment of the Lembar-Sekotong-Pelangan Road. A budget of 87.11 billion (US$5.3 million) was used for work carried out on the road that stretches 7.47 kilometers.
On the occasion, the president also inaugurated the 2.1-kilometer Polamata-Jelenga Road whose construction cost Rp15.74 billion (US$972 thousand) in West Sumbawa District and the 4.2-kilometer Sabedo Dalam-Bukit Planing Road in Sumbawa District that required Rp22.75 billion (US$1.4 million) of budget.
Furthermore, he launched the operation of the Lenangguar-Teladan Road that stretches 1.6 kilometers in Sumbawa and the 25.26-kilometer Wilamaci-Karumbu-Sape Road in Bima. Construction of the two roads cost Rp86.24 billion (US$5.3 million) in total.
Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman, and Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan, among others, accompanied President Jokowi during the inauguration of the roads.
