Tangerang (ANTARA) - State-owned airport operator for western Indonesia’s regions, PT Angkasa Pura II, has forecast that congestion during the Eid reverse flow will occur at three terminals of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten Province, on Sunday.

The number of passengers arriving at the three terminals was more than those who departed, the company’s senior manager of branch communication and legal, Holik Muardi, noted in a press statement here on Sunday.

According to data received as per Sunday, May 8, 2022, the number of passengers leaving from Terminal 1 reached 11,731 aboard 83 flights, while those arriving at the terminal touched 14,664 people on board 85 flights.

At Terminal 2, as many as 30,571 passengers departed with 220 flights, while 39,583 arrived with 224 flights.

A total of 29,307 passengers arrived with 167 flights, while 24,617 passengers with 166 flights departed from Terminal 3.

The company had prepared 700 joint personnel from various institutions to ensure smoothness of reverse flow during 2022 Eid at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

“All operation and security officers from various institutions stand by until May 10,” President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin noted on Saturday.

The operation officers were separately deployed in several terminals at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport during the peak of 2022 Eid reverse flow forecast to occur on Sunday, May 8, 2022.
