Not only to increase the domestic component level (TKDN), but the absorption of domestic products into the national industry by the government and SOEs can also push MSMEs to become a part of the supply chain of a large business partnership
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The partnership of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) with micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) was crucial in encouraging MSMEs to advance, according to Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Minister Teten Masduki.

Masduki noted here on Monday that large business partnerships, including cooperation between corporations and MSMEs, had been regulated in the Job Creation Act.

"Not only to increase the domestic component level (TKDN), but the absorption of domestic products into the national industry by the government and SOEs can also push MSMEs to become a part of the supply chain of a large business partnership," the minister stated.

Hence, he assessed that the partnership had been a positive initiative to support MSMEs to improve.

Earlier, the SOEs Ministry had lauded the state-run companies’ partners, both the private sector and MSMEs, which had supported the implementation of the corporations’ business activities and operations, so they can perform more effectively and efficiently.

SOEs Minister Erick Thohir made the statement at the 2022 BUMN Champion Partner Appreciation event held at Graha Pertamina, Jakarta, on Monday, which was also attended by the cooperatives and SMEs minister.

Thohir stated that the event was held to strengthen synergy between SOEs and MSMEs as well as the private sector.

Meanwhile, implementation of the 2022 SOEs Champion Partner Program aims to create a joint economic ecosystem, not only among state-owned corporations but also in collaboration with the private sector, he noted.

The SOEs minister assessed that Indonesia in fact, had extraordinary potentials -- natural resources and markets -- which can help SOEs, MSMEs, as well as private players to support national post-pandemic recovery and growth.

Since currently, a huge economic roadmap has been established, synergy between the government and private sectors to encourage national economic development should be maintained and strengthened, he emphasized.

Hence, the minister expected all partners of SOEs to be able to help state-run enterprises to become prominent players in the global market.
