According to a written statement issued on Monday, national and international level speakers will speak at the three major meetings, namely the Stakeholder Forum, World Reconstruction Conference 5 (WRC5), and Multi-Hazard Early Warning Conference III (MHEWC-III).
The Preparatory Day will combine elements of face-to-face and long-distance meetings and feature stakeholders across different sectors before the official opening of GPDRR on Wednesday.
The National Disaster Mitigation Agency's (BNPB's) system and strategy deputy, Raditya Jati, said that the three meetings will be in the form of 28 discussion forums.
The forums are being held on May 23 and 24, 2022, at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC) in Nusa Dua.
"These meetings can be participated by journalists and guests who have already registered," Jati, who is also head of the GPDRR Organizing National Committee Secretariat, said on Monday.
These meetings will seek to provide a space for stakeholders to coordinate and exchange the best practices around inclusive involvement, collaboration, and preparation for the Global Platform's official session.
"Every day, the event will be held from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. local time," he informed.
WRC5 is being jointly held by the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), and United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) under the umbrella of the International Recovery Platform (IRP).
WRC5 is seeking to connect participants from national and local governments, civil society, the private sector, academicians, and international organizations across the world.

The forum is providing them an opportunity to exchange experiences related to various recovery dimensions within the context of multidimensional risk encountered by countries in the last several years.
Meanwhile, MHEWC-III is seeking to show how the availability, access, and utilization of multi-danger early warning and risk information can be improved.
This is being done to better realize the Sendai Framework, Paris Agreement, and Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Target G of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.
