Our expectation is that the village fund that has been distributed to villages can expedite national economic recovery and the issue of food resiliency has become a priority in village fund (utilization)
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Villages, Disadvantaged Areas, and Transmigration Ministry and the Attorney General's Office have consolidated Village Guard Posts in order to optimize village fund utilization.

In a written statement issued on Tuesday, Villages, Disadvantaged Areas, and Transmigration Minister Abdul Halim Iskandar said he expects the office's assistance to stem the problems encountered by village chiefs and officials, including in relation to village fund utilization.

Building village officials' capacity as policy executors is important for supporting the success of the programs implemented using village funds, he opined.

He said he expects effective collaboration with the Attorney General's Office to help expedite economic recovery, food resilience, and bolster human resources in villages, in accordance with the village authority.

"Our expectation is that the village fund that has been distributed to villages can expedite national economic recovery and the issue of food resiliency has become a priority in village fund (utilization),” the minister said.

While visiting Attorney General ST Burhanuddin on Tuesday, he said that the Village Guard Post plays a role in providing assistance, guidance, and disseminating information on laws to the village apparatus and the people.

Bolstering the effectiveness of Village Guard Posts with the help of the Attorney General's Office is a preventive solution for minimizing village fund misuse, Iskandar informed.

To bolster the role of Village Guards, the ministry and the Attorney General's Office have agreed to the formation of a Village Guard Joint Command Post at the central level and the utilization of a system based on information technology.
