Kamil made assurance of optimally handling the FMD virus infection in West Java, including by expediting vaccination.
To this end, he urged the residents of West Java to remain calm since FMD handling in the province was being conducted well, as Eid al-Adha, the Islamic Day of Sacrifice, draws to a close.
Kamil also advised people who will buy sacrificial animals for the Eid al-Adha holiday to give preference to those already having secured a healthy certificate and having a yellow slab on their ears.

To this day, 40 percent of the livestock in West Java that had contracted FMD were declared cured, he stated.
As a result, he expects that with this high recovery rate, the spread of the FMD virus can be controlled as soon as possible.
Earlier, the Agriculture Ministry had vaccinated 1,519 heads of livestock in Central Java and East Java in order to check the spread of FMD in Indonesia.
The vaccination data will continue to rise with the launch of mass vaccinations in Pamulihan and Sumedang, West Java, on June 20, Head of the ministry's Public Relations and Public Information Bureau Kuntoro Boga Andri stated.
Mass vaccinations will be conducted in other provinces and cities simultaneously, he noted while delivering an online press statement on latest developments pertaining to FMD handling in Indonesia on Monday.
The ministry, along with regional governments, has prepared procedures that will need to be followed while conducting vaccinations.
