The event is part of thanks to Allah SWT for the grace that the Purwakarta people and district government have received.
Purwakarta, W Java (ANTARA) - The Purwakarta district government in West Java has organized a farm product carnival, locally known as Helaran Tatanen Nagri, at Pasanggrahan Park as part of its commitment to maintaining food resilience.

"The event is part of thanks to Allah SWT for the grace that the Purwakarta people and district government have received,” district head Anne Ratna Mustika said in Purwakarta on Tuesday.

It has also been organized to express appreciation and respect for farmers for their dedication to the district’s development, she added.

"The commemoration of the district's anniversary should be used as a momentum to remember the development (progress) we have achieved together. These all are the result of our predecessors' hard work. Our task is to realize the development that they have pioneered," she said.

Helaran means “carnival,” Tatanen means “farm products,” and Nagri means “Purwakarta,” she informed.

“So, this is an activity which features farm products in Purwakarta and is related to national food resilience,” she remarked.

She said the Purwakarta district government is committed to maintaining food resilience, in accordance with the district's vision—recovering the tourism economy and conserving the environment.

She expressed the hope that all elements of the community would get involved in the development programs. Since the programs are the responsibility of the entire people of Purwakarta, they must collaborate and work hard to realize the programs together, according to her.
