The authority is ready to accommodate the interests of parties wishing to participate in the development of health and education facilities and the provision of daily necessities in IKN 1A area, or Nusantara's Central Government Core Area.
The market sounding will begin along with the start of infrastructure work including core buildings in August, Susantono said in a press statement delivered virtually on Wednesday.
The infrastructure works cover land consolidation, land opening and access to logistics.
As such, the development of infrastructures and core buildings will be on full scale by next year.
In addition, the development of supporting facilities will also be carried out, starting from health and education facilities, daily necessities shops, to an amusement center.
According to Susantono, the development of Nusantara as a livable city is targeted to be completed by 2024.
A complete urban ecosystem comprising education facilities, health facilities, daily facilities, and facilities connected to the amusement center will be developed, he informed.
The development of the IKN will involve the local community residing around the city, namely in Sepaku, North Penajam Paser, and East Kalimantan.
During the event, Susantono also informed that the authority is holding work and business trainings for local residents of North Penajam Paser, which are aligned with the development of the new capital.
As a result, they will also become an inseparable part of the IKN’s development. The authority is keen to see active people’s participation in the future.
