Jakarta (ANTARA) - Five additional days were granted to electronic system operators (PSEs), who had not registered on the risk-based Online Single Submission (OSS) system before being blocked by the Communication and Informatics Ministry.

"We had sent a warning letter to PSEs, who had not registered by the deadline (on July 20, 2022) to complete the registration soon -- in five working days," director general of informatics application at the ministry, Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan, noted in an online press conference on Thursday.

The ministry plans to impose three stages of sanctions on unregistered PSE. The first one was a warning that is being implemented currently.

Later, if PSEs have not applied to the system within the additional five-day registration period, then the ministry will start blocking the operators.

Furthermore, the ministry plans to impose fines on PSEs, who do not register, but the regulation concerning the matter is still being discussed by related ministries.

The blocked PSEs can apply to the government for service normalization once they complete all of the requested provisions.

Meanwhile, PSEs facing difficulties in conducting online registration on the risk-based OSS system by the deadline were given the opportunity to register manually through the Communication and Informatics Ministry.

The ministry will send a manual registration form by e-mail to the PSEs. After submitting the completed form to the ministry, the operators can proceed with the online registration.

"We have distributed the forms to them," the director general stated.

Pangerapan noted that verification of the registered data will be conducted through a post-audit process, so the ministry trusts the PSEs to provide accurate data on their companies and digital services.

Moreover, the registration form contains a statement that the data provided by PSEs was true.

Hence, the ministry will impose sanctions on PSEs in the event of a discrepancy in the data provided by the operators and the findings of the ministry’s verification process.
