"We just need to ensure that Indonesian children remain protected and their rights are met," the head of state posted on his Instagram account @jokowi on Saturday.
Every child has his or her own future ideals and dreams, according to Jokowi.
Everyone must also help ensure that children are happy, grow as free-spirited human beings, and become part of the national progress, he remarked.
Jokowi also posted an animation depicting him flying a kite with several children on a beach.
Indonesia commemorates National Children's Day on July 23, and this year's theme is "Children are Protected, Indonesia is Advancing."
According to the theme's message, in the post-COVID-19 pandemic situation, Indonesian children remain protected physically and mentally as well as enjoy their rights, such as the rights to study, to play, and to be happy.
Meanwhile, the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) recently said that the 2022 National Children's Day was a momentum to fulfill children's rights in order to build superior human resources (HR) in Indonesia.
"The commemoration of the 2022 National Children's Day is an important momentum to bring concern and participation from our society and the nation in ensuring the fulfillment of children's rights," Deputy for Family Welfare and Family Empowerment at the BKKBN Nopian Andusti stated last Thursday.
He outlined four basic children's rights: the right to live, the right to grow and develop, the right to be protected, and the right to participate.
