We must be able to maintain togetherness, unity, and cohesion in G20 as the largest economic and development cooperation forum reckoned in the world.Yogyakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo on Wednesday urged the agriculture deputies of G20 member states to commit to supporting global food resilience.
"I hope in the second session of the (G20) agriculture deputies meeting, the delegates can discuss and agree on a G20 commitment to supporting global food resilience," he said in a virtual address at the opening of the second Agriculture Deputies Meeting (ADM) here.
In addition, he appealed to all delegates to support the achievement of the sustainable development goals (SDGs), as reflected in the G20 agriculture ministers' communiqué.

Through the G20 forum, he called for solidarity among all G20 members to recover together and recover stronger to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current multidimensional crisis, in accordance with the theme of the Indonesian G20 Presidency — “Recover Together, Recover Stronger.”
He expressed the hope that the G20 ADM delegates will discuss the G20 Agriculture Working Group’s (AWG’s) concrete deliverables to assist least developed countries and developing countries develop food resilience.
He praised all G20 agriculture deputies, invitee countries, and regional and international organizations for their participation in the second ADM and support for the Indonesian G20 Presidency.

Meanwhile, secretary general of the Agriculture Ministry, Kasdi Subagyono, noted that the G20 ADM, which is being held in Yogyakarta from July 27 to 29, will bring together at least 100 delegates from G20 member countries.
The first day of the meeting was attended by delegates from 17 G20 countries physically and 3 G20 countries virtually. Delegates from 7 invitee countries and 13 international organizations joined the meeting in person and online.
