Besides villages with very underdeveloped status, the disbursal of village funds has also helped reduce the number of villages with underdeveloped status, based on Village Development Index data, from 33,339 in 2018 to 15,935 in 2021.
The decline in the number of villages with very underdeveloped and underdeveloped status is proof of the positive impact of the village fund program, Indrawati emphasized.
She said the government will always pay attention to progress and efforts to alleviate poverty in villages through the distribution of village funds.
In the meantime, data from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) from the 2021 Central Government Financial Report (LKPP) audit showed that the realization of village fund distribution reached Rp71.85 trillion by the end of 2021.
The realization of the village fund distribution was 99.8 percent of the fund ceiling of Rp72 trillion, and reflected an increase of 1.06 percent or Rp0.75 trillion compared to the previous year.
