Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Executive Board of Esports Indonesia (PB ESI) will hold an Indonesia Esports Summit that is home for the 2022 IESF World Esports Championship and a stage for promotion of creative economy products and services.

"The Indonesia Esports Summit will have enormous potential and contribution to strengthen the national digital economy. We enthusiastically welcome IESF that trusts Indonesia to host the IESF World Esports Championship to be held in conjunction with the Indonesia Esports Summit," Head of International Relations of PB ESI Tjahjono Prasetyanto noted at a press conference on the Esports Summit here Wednesday.

The IESF World Esports Championship 2022 is an offline Indonesian Global Offensive tournament organized by the International Esports Federation (IESF).

Prasetyanto noted that the Indonesian Esports Summit will be organized in Bali on December 2-11, 2022, to coincide with the 14th World Esports Championship.

The event will involve the entire ecosystem by presenting the creativity of Indonesian and world esports that are expected to offer social and economic contributions and boost the tourism industry, especially sports tourism, he added.

The Indonesia Esports Summit will be an effective event to introduce new standards for world esports as well as showcase values of local wisdom to the international esports ecosystem.

The event will be enlivened by presentations of local artists, including Balinese musicians.

"Esports is not only about games, but nowadays, it is also closely related to lifestyle. This is the largest outdoor esports festival where there will be various activities there," Director of Garuda Digital Kreatif Diana Sutrisno stated.

The participants will take part in esports activities while revelling in the beauty of the beach and the scenery of Merusaka, Nusa Dua, on Bali Island.

"There will be more than 80 booths, both indoor and outdoor. Also featured will be exhibitions, conferences, and talk shows featuring national and international speakers. We hope there would be a total of 15 thousand offline visitors there," she remarked.

The exhibition at the Indonesia Esports Summit will help drive Indonesia's latest esports trend by presenting game developers, gaming platforms, technology manufacturers, as well as internet service providers.

Hence, the exhibition is also a place to display the latest projects about gaming, ranging from the game itself to game devices from technology companies that visitors can try their hands at.

Meanwhile, the talk shows will present speakers, including International Esports Federation (IESF) President Vlad Mainsescu, and will discuss success stories in the gaming industry and new products.
