Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Health Ministry confirmed that the national COVID-19 contact-tracing application PeduliLindungi would be available in 14 languages to cater to delegates attending the G20 Summit in Bali next November.

According to the ministry's press release received here, Wednesday, Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono Harbuwono remarked that the application was enhanced to ensure G20 delegates receive optimum healthcare service during their stay in Indonesia.

"PeduliLindungi has been available in nine languages, and we will add five more languages to cater to respective (G20) countries," Harbuwono stated during the G20 Summit coordination meeting in Bali, Tuesday (August 31).

He said the integration of new languages into PeduliLindungi is ongoing and will be performed gradually.

The deputy minister elaborated that the contact-tracing application is currently available in nine languages: Indonesian, English, Chinese, French, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, Korean, and Spanish.

The deputy minister revealed that Portuguese, German, Italian, and Turkish are among the languages to soon be added to PeduliLindungi.

Meanwhile, Harbuwono pointed out that the ministry will ready for the enforcement of health protocols, availability of health services, and communication access on health protocols and health services for the G20 Summit delegates.

He said that arriving delegates are required to complete their COVID-19 vaccination and register their data on PeduliLindungi prior to departure to Indonesia.

"The delegates are expected to hold a travel insurance that covers hospital care, including the COVID-19 treatment," the deputy minister remarked.

Delegates will undergo temperature checks and screening for COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival in Bali, he noted.

VVIP delegates will undergo the COVID-19 PCR test 24 hours before attending the event, and the COVID-19 antigen test will be available for other delegates, he revealed. Delegates can also request other COVID-19 tests if required for departure back to their home country.

Harbuwono stated that the authority will ready a mini ICU facility and health clinic and set up mobile health teams at the summit venue. Medical specialists will operate the health facilities equipped with complete equipment.

The ministry has also readied seven referral hospitals within reach of the G20 Summit's venue for the delegates, he added.
