Bali (ANTARA) - Local wisdom can attract more investors to invest in domestic start-up companies, Ministry of Communication and Informatics' Director General of Application and Informatics Semuel Abrijadi Pangerapan stated.

"With the combination of the ever-developing market and technology start-ups rooting to local wisdom, we are optimistic that Indonesia's technology start-ups can attract more investors and (become more) mature to collaborate," Pangerapan noted while opening the HUB.ID Summit through online means in Nusa Dua, Badung District, Bali, on Monday.

Meanwhile, the ministry's Director of Digital Economy, I Nyoman Adhiarna, expressed optimism that the national start-up ecosystem would develop further through the HUB.ID event.

"(The ministry's) target at this event is to increase the exposure of Indonesia's digital start-ups, open synergy and collaboration opportunities for start-up companies, and open funding access for digital start-ups," Adhiarna noted.

The official stated that the HUB.ID Summit is the conclusion of incubation and acceleration activities involving various domestic start-up companies.
