"We are enthusiastic because in the previous two years, we were online, so it was not optimal. By going offline, hopefully, this year, it can be maximized," Aman Suparman, chairman of the Indonesian Halal Product Manufacturers Association (APPHI), stated here on Wednesday.
Suparman noted that the event was an opportunity for promotions to introduce Indonesian products, especially those that were already halal-certified.
Through the event, several Indonesian halal products were promoted, including clothing, cosmetics, sandals, socks, sarongs, tuna fish, chips, spices, satay, Taliwang chicken, palm sugar, and other products that are part of halal food, halal fashion, halal cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, halal tourism, and halal in the service sector.
Through the event, Suparman is optimistic of his association being able to promote Indonesian halal products to the world, not only in terms of the branding but also trading transactions.
"Hopefully, Indonesian exporters would be able to find potential buyers from the Middle East, ASEAN, and Europe, because this is a worldwide promotion," he affirmed.
Speaking on the similar lines as Suparman, Muslehudin from IKM Sate Rembiga also expressed enthusiasm for participating in the MIHAS event for the first time.
Apart from finding potential085810616066 buyers, he is participating in the MIHAS event to simultaneously promote the Indonesian cuisine, especially culinary arts from Lombok, such as satay and Rembiga chicken.
Apart from Malaysia, he also expressed keenness to explore other markets, such as Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, Asri from CV Samara Micron Saleronell expressed keenness to promote her products to China and the Middle East, apart from Malaysia.
Through her products, such as chips and spices for fried sambal, fried chicken, seblak and others, she aspires to introduce the taste of Indonesia to the world.
Asri also partook in the MIHAS event for the first time and she was excited to have the opportunity to participate.
MIHAS 2022 was held in a hybrid format, with the physical event taking place on September 7-10, 2022, and in total, the event will involve nearly 600 Malaysian exporters and more than 400 buyers from 50 countries, including the Middle East, Europe, Central Asia, South Asia, the ASEAN, Oceania, and the African region.
