Jakarta (ANTARA) - The House of Representatives' (DPR's) Commission V agreed on the budget ceiling of three ministries and two non-ministerial government institutions set in the draft 2023 state budget.

The three ministries are the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing; the Ministry of Transportation; and the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration, Chief of the House Commission Lasarus stated during a working meeting with the House Commission X partners in Jakarta on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the two non-ministerial government institutions are the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) and the National Search and Rescue Agency (BNNP/Basarnas).

The budget ceiling for the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing is set at Rp125.22 trillion, the Ministry of Transportation at Rp33.44 trillion, the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration at Rp2.99 trillion, BMKG at Rp3.01 trillion, and BNNP/Basarnas at Rp1.89 trillion.

"The DPR Commission V can agree on the budget ceiling of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, the Ministry of Transportation, and the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration, BMKG and BNNP/Basarnas in accordance with the financial notes of the draft 2023 state budget," he stated.

He said the House Commission V and the government agreed to synchronize the budget in accordance with the functions and programs in the draft 2023 state budget based on suggestions, inputs, and proposals of the House Commission V.

He also appealed to the House Commission's working partners to help the state budget support the economic growth, particularly through the use of domestic products.

"The fuel oil price hike is quite burdensome. Of course, the state budget serves as one of the instruments for all of us, particularly the state and the people, to tide through this difficult time. One of the efforts is to make maximum use of the state budget to increase (utilization of) domestic products," he said.
