The decentralization element of community job training centers opens up opportunities to improve skills they offer through bottom-up approaches from the community, with the aim of activating less fortunate groups.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia is pushing dialog among G20 member states to enhance the productivity of workers, Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah stated.

The dialog among G20 member states to cooperate in providing workers with training is necessary to make them productive economically, the minister noted in a written statement released in Jakarta on Friday.

The capacity building of human resources for sustainable productivity growth is the commitment to develop and improve the competency of human resources, she remarked.

Fauziyah specifically highlighted the presence of community job training centers (BLK) that consider various aspects in conducting their duties, such as social capital, skill demand, and job market in rural areas.

"The decentralization element of community job training centers opens up opportunities to improve skills they offer through bottom-up approaches from the community, with the aim of activating less fortunate groups," she remarked.

In her address to the 1st International Conference on Manpower and Sustainable Development (IMSIDE) on Thursday night, Fauziyah emphasized that the conference should become a momentum to provide inputs for development of the manpower sector, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic and digital disruption era.

The minister encouraged the role of stakeholders and social partners in developing quality human resources by issuing recommendations, policies, and programs to create several job opportunities in the community.

"I hope this conference would become our effort to recover together and recover stronger," she stated.
