Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria stated that all programs contained in the Jakarta Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) for the 2017-2022 period have been realized ahead of the end of Governor Anies Baswedan's term.

"We have implemented everything in the RPJMD. It is just a matter of refinishing some programs; Insya Allah (God willing), then they are completed," Patria remarked while attending Bank DKI's "Cash Free Day" event at Thamrin 10 here on Sunday.

The office term of Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Patria will come to end on October 16, 2022.

Patria commented that despite the expiry of their term, their administration's programs will continue to be implemented until the end of 2022.

"Even if (our office term) ends on October 16, the programs will continue until December. Insya Allah, they will be completed this year," he said.

In the remainder of their term, budget absorption will continue to be optimized as the Jakarta administration keeps applying the principle of caution to avoid unexpected problems in the regional budget management.

"In addition to accelerating the budget absorption, we also carry out prudential efforts," he said.

However, he is optimistic that budget management in Jakarta will stay on track, considering the five consecutive times the Jakarta Provincial Government obtained the Unqualified Opinion (WTP) assessment from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

As Baswedan and Patria's term will expire soon, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will choose one name from the six names proposed by the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) and the Home Affairs Ministry, to be the acting governor of Jakarta.

Patria became Baswedan's counterpart for almost 2.5 years. He replaced the current Tourism and Creative Economy Minister, Sandiaga Uno, who resigned because he contested for the 2019 Presidential Election as the Vice Presidential candidate with then Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto.
