The BBJ2/A-001 Presidential Aircraft carrying Amin along with his spouse Wury Estu Handayani and a limited entourage took off from Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport at 8:25 a.m. local time to Tokyo's Haneda International Airport.
Seeing off Ma'ruf Amin's departure at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport was Governor of Jakarta Anies Baswedan .
After traveling for about 7 hours 20 minutes, Amin and his entourage are scheduled to arrive in Haneda at 6 p.m. local time.
Upon his arrival in Japan, Ma'ruf Amin will be welcomed by Indonesian Ambassador to Japan and the Federated States of Micronesia Heri Akhmadi and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Tokyo Col (AF) Andi Nur Abadi.
Representatives from over 217 countries, territories and international organizations are expected to participate in the state funeral for Shinzo Abe on Tuesday, the Japan Times reported on Friday.

The funeral for Abe, who was in power as prime minister for a record eight years and 267 days over two spells before stepping down in September 2020, will be held at the Nippon Budokan hall, close to Yasukuni Shrine in central Tokyo.
The ceremony will be the first major public event staged since new police security guidelines were implemented in the aftermath of Abe’s killing on July 8, and the capital has seen a massive ramping up of security measures to protect against terrorism and other incidents at train stations and Tokyo-area airports, according to media reports.
