"With the presence of the Kedaireka Ecosystem programs, I hope that the spirit of collaborative innovation between Universities and the Business and Industrial World (DUDI) would be sustainable and not stop at the Matching Fund Program," the ministry's Acting Director General of Diktiristek, Professor Nizam, noted in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday.
Nizam expects support and active participation from fellow university leaders, lecturers, and industry partners to support sustainability of the innovation ecosystem in Indonesia for the progress of the nation.
Kedaireka is an acronym for Business Cooperation and Creative Creation that can also be interpreted as Indonesian Sovereignty in Invention, he noted.
A total of seven Kedaireka Ecosystem programs were launched, comprising the Kedaireka Academy, RekaTalks, Match Making Innovation Forum, RekaPitch, CEO Mentorship, RekaPreneur, and RekaPods.
Kedaireka Academy is a digital training platform for Higher Education participants wherein they will be trained directly by DUDI practitioners as an effort to increase their insights on the latest developments in the industrial world, Nizam stated.
RekaTalks is a talk show that presents inspirational stories from Higher Education personnel and DUDI beneficiaries of the Matching Fund Program, while the Match Making Innovation Forum is a fast networking and matchmaking program between universities and the industry to encourage acceleration in collaboration.
The fourth program launched was RekaPitch, a business case-based collaboration program that is curated directly by DUDI representatives already having independent financial capital. Meanwhile, CEO Mentorship is an intensive sharing session by industry leaders to increase the exchange of views and self-development of university students.
RekaPreneur presents speakers from practitioners and academics to improve the understanding of higher education students for procedures in pitching ideas, preparing proposals, and negotiating.
Meanwhile, RekaPods is a podcast program that presents Matching Fund beneficiaries to discuss innovations they have created, success stories, and the benefits they have gained from the Matching Fund Program.
Nizam affirmed that the seven ecosystem programs were expected to serve as a forum for implementing the knowledge-based economy to continue innovation collaboration between universities and the industrial world after earlier being successful with the Matching Fund Program in 2021 and 2022.
In addition, the seven 2022 Kedaireka Ecosystem programs were launched to facilitate users of the Kedaireka platform.
In 2022, users of the Kedaireka platform increased significantly as compared to those recorded in 2021. An increase by 81 percent was recorded in the number of higher education participants and a 425-percent increase in industrial partners, he pointed out.
