Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that Indonesia is currently still the country clocking the second-highest growth among the G20 member countries, just after Saudi Arabia.

"Having a fairly strong domestic market, the Indonesian economy is also relatively safe on the insides, and it is predicted that next year's economic growth will be between 4.8 percent and 5.2 percent," the minister noted in an official statement received on Saturday.

The impressive performance of the Indonesian economy would also be kept up during 2022, supported by reassuring external factors, so Indonesia was not considered as being a country prone to financial problems.

However, in light of the uncertainty and threat of a global recession lately, the government has continued to take various anticipatory measures as well as foster optimism for the national economy.

To maintain the impressive performance of the national economy and anticipate future challenges, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs monitors and evaluates the performance achievements of various priority programs by hosting the Leaders' Offsite Meeting for the third quarter of 2022 in Semarang, Central Java, on October 13-14, 2022.

The activity, led by the minister, was hosted to determine the extent of the success of policies or programs that had been conducted by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. With a thorough performance evaluation, various comprehensive improvements would also be made to obtain the best solution for pre-existing issues.

Echelon I officials, special staff, assistance teams, expert teams, and echelon II officials at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economic Affairs were present at the meeting. Each work unit was urged to list all program achievements, strategic issues, and work plans.
