Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) has prepared five standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cybersecurity during the G20 Summit in Nusa Dua, Bali, on November 15 and 16, 2022.

The G20 is an international forum comprising 19 countries and the European Union that work together to handle major issues. Indonesia is holding the presidency of the grouping this year.

The first SOP is related to the handling of cyber incidents that may occur during the G20 Summit, BSSN spokesperson Ariandi Putra informed during the #G20updates press conference themed “G20 Summit Cybersecurity,” which was streamed on YouTube on Tuesday.

The BSSN has also formulated an SOP related to cyber complaint handling.

"Thirdly, there is an SOP on hard disk, flash disk, and memory card acquisition that we do," he said.

The agency has also created an SOP for analyzing malware, or software that is intentionally designed to destroy computer systems, networks, and servers.

The fifth SOP is related to executing advanced malware analysis.

Throughout the G20 Summit, BSSN will focus on coordinating with related stakeholders, Putra informed.

This coordination will be undertaken in the case of cyber incidents, as a form of anticipation against cyberattacks, to monitor the developing situation during the G20 Summit, and conduct recovery from cyber incidents.

"Next, post-event, if there are several incidents, we will focus on conducting acquisition and digital forensics to see which data is still whole and we can conclude several events that became incidents," he added.

Currently, BSSN is working 24 hours to monitor traffic anomalies in the cyberspace in Indonesia.

During the press conference, Putra also highlighted strategic sectors that will be the focus of security for BSSN during the G20 Summit.

The sectors comprise the venue of the G20 Summit, energy, transportation, government administration and finance, health, as well as information and communication technology.

The agency has secured the finance sector to ensure smoothness in the operation of banking services around the G20 Summit's location, and even Bali in general.

Further, the agency has secured the health sector by ensuring the availability of access to hospitals and clinics for G20 Summit participants who require medical help.
