We are looking forward to cooperating with the ANTARA News Agency in disseminating (information on) Saudi culture to the Indonesian community.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - A delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah visited the ANTARA News Agency in Jakarta on Wednesday to explore the possibility of cooperation in disseminating information on Saudi culture to the Indonesian community.

"We are looking forward to cooperating with the ANTARA News Agency in disseminating (information on) Saudi culture to the Indonesian community," Spokesperson for the ministry Hammam Nasser Jurraied informed.

He said Indonesia is the first country that he has visited with his delegation.

The Saudi government is eager to intensify cooperation between the two nations through the exchange of news stories on the culture and tourism of the two countries and sharing of news products, he added.

Indonesia is among the countries that send the most Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. Therefore, the Saudi Kingdom is eager to provide the Indonesian community with easy access to information and knowledge about Saudi culture, he said.

Jurraied underscored the need to find appropriate ways to disseminate knowledge about Saudi Arabia to the Indonesian people.

The delegation also included senior director for media and public relations, Hadi Alfakeeh; senior manager of the private sector ministry, Abdul Rahman Alhussain; portfolio manager Haramain Rayan Azzoz; and businessman Ibrahim Alturk. They were received by ANTARA’s managing editor, Saptono Soemardjo.

During the visit, the Saudi delegation also introduced the country's 2030 vision, which aims to enrich Hajj and Umrah pilgrims' experiences during their stay in the Holy Land.

To support the vision, the Saudi government is also offering easy visa services and improving infrastructure facilities and the transportation system.

The program will enable Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to access various places in Mecca and Medina, including museums to enrich their knowledge about Saudi Arabia.

The visa services include the issuance of visas to Umrah pilgrims in less than 24 hours and the extension of the visas to 90 days from 30 days before.
