Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Manpower Ministry has bolstered the dissemination of information about the importance of vocational education through the Vocational Training Festival and the National Job Fair held on October 28-30, 2022.

"A skilled workforce will be created by being trained by the ministry with quality and great instructors. Hopefully, what we do is useful for the nation's youth," Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor said here on Friday.

The vocational training festival and the national job fair are a summit of the 2022 National Vocational Training Month (BPVN).

The ministry offers several types of training at the Community Vocational Training Centers (BLKs), Noor noted.

In addition to the Vocational Training Festival held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), the ministry is holding the National Job Fair involving 175 companies, and there are 21 thousand job vacancies.

On the same occasion, the Ministry's Director General of Vocational Training Development and Productivity, Budi Hartawan, invited the public to attend and participate in the event.

Hartawan said the job fair is open to the public and free of charge through the SiapKerja system. For more information and registration, people can access the https://fpv.kemnaker.go.id/ website.

"For this program, we involve 78 companies that are opening job vacancies, with some of them (implementing) walk-in interview concepts, so that participants meeting the requirements can potentially get the positions that are needed," he remarked.

Citing information from its website, SiapKerja.com is a platform for job seekers ready to work to advertise themselves without the need for a lengthy registration process.

Through SiapKerja, the ministry supports the absorption of competent workers, including all levels of workers, from blue-collar workers to executives, fresh graduates, and experienced, to join the world of work more quickly and effectively in accordance with their skills and interests.
