A total of 176.05 tons of logistics cargo for the motorcycle racing event, 2022 Mandalika WSBK, have arrived through Lombok Airport.
Praya, NTB (ANTARA) - All logistics supplies for the World Superbike (WSBK) event from November 11–13, 2022, have arrived via Lombok International Airport at the paddocks of the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit.

"A total of 176.05 tons of logistics cargo for the motorcycle racing event, 2022 Mandalika WSBK, have arrived through Lombok Airport," public relations officer of state-run airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I for Lombok International Airport, Arif Haryanto, informed here on Tuesday.

The third and final logistics delivery, comprising 27.2 tons of cargo, arrived at the airport at 6:30 a.m. Central Indonesian Standard Time (WITA) on Tuesday, he said.

Earlier, he had informed that Lombok International Airport was ready for the arrival of spectators for the sporting event, whose number is targeted to reach 45 thousand.

Meanwhile, WSBK racers and crews are expected to arrive on November 10.

The first logistics delivery of 81.82 tons for the racing event had arrived on a Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777 freighter (flight number QR8062 and registration code A7-BFW).

The aircraft, which came from Doha, Qatar, landed at the airport at 3:48 p.m. WITA on Saturday (October 29). The logistics were transported to the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit using 13 trucks.

The second delivery was made by an Ethiopian Airlines’ Boeing 777 freighter (flight number ET3657 and registration code ET-AVT), which arrived at the airport at 00:58 a.m. WITA on Sunday (October 30).

The aircraft, which came from Djibouti, Ethiopia, transported 67.03 tons of logistics supplies. The logistics supplies were brought directly to the circuit, which is located in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone, Central Lombok district, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province, using 12 trucks.

"After unloading their cargo in Lombok, the two planes departed for Hong Kong," Haryanto said.

Meanwhile, the last delivery arrived on a Malaysia Airlines' Airbus A330-200 freighter (flight number MH6427 and registration code 9M-MUD), from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
