Badung, Bali (ANTARA) - The G20 Leaders Summit in Bali on November 15–16, 2022, will discuss a number of priority issues, including food and energy security, global health architecture, and digital transformation.

The three issues will be discussed in separate working sessions. G20 leaders will discuss food and energy security and global health architecture on the first day of the summit and digital transformation on the second day.

"The first working session will last from the morning till the afternoon and will be continued with a luncheon, and closed with the second working session," Secretary of the State Secretariat Setya Utama informed at an online press conference in Bali on Monday.

On the sidelines of the discussion on food and energy security, Indonesia will display the metaverse of its new capital in East Kalimantan.

Thereafter, the G20 leaders will attend a welcoming dinner/reception at Lotus Pond, Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park, in Jimbaran, Badung Bali, from 7 to 9 p.m. local time.

“The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, has invited not only G20 Summit delegates, but also prominent stakeholders, B20 (delegates), and other special invitees to attend the welcoming dinner," Utama said.

The welcoming dinner will feature cultural shows from various parts of Indonesia, he added without elaborating on the cultural shows.

"This spectacular show is still secret so there will be an element of surprise," he said.

During the welcoming dinner, the organizing committee will prepare special attires with Indonesian elements for the state guests and invitees.

"I also keep the attire secret because we will give an element of surprise. So, on the first day, there will be special attires for dinner and, mangrove (visit), and suits for the closing ceremony. We have prepared special attires for them, which can be seen on the D-Day," he said.

On the second day of the summit, the G20 leaders are scheduled to plant mangrove trees at Ngurah Rai Mangrove Forest Park in Denpasar.

"The second day will start with a side event in the form of mangrove tree planting at the mangrove forest park in the morning. From the afternoon to the evening, there will be the third working session held after the luncheon. The third working session will discuss the digital transformation," he informed.

In the evening, President Joko Widodo will hand over the presidency of the G20 to India and announce the outcome of the two-day summit after the conclusion of the series of G20 Summit activities.
