The message that (DTE) seeks to convey is that the digital transformation in Indonesia is already on the right track.
Badung, Bali (ANTARA) - The Digital Transformation Expo (DTE) has shown that the digital transformation in Indonesia is not lagging behind that of other G20 nations, Secretary General of the Communication and Information Ministry Mira Tayyiba has said.

"The message that (DTE) seeks to convey is that the digital transformation in Indonesia is already on the right track," she affirmed on the sidelines of DTE here on Monday.

The technology exhibition has been organized by the ministry as a side event of the G20 Summit.

G20 is a multilateral cooperation group that comprises 19 countries and the European Union (EU). Indonesia, which is holding the presidency of the grouping this year, will host the G20 Summit in Bali on November 15 and 16, 2022.

Through DTE, Indonesia is showcasing its digital transformation development under four main pillars.

These comprise digital infrastructure development, digital economy development, digital society development, and digital governance development.

The expo is also featuring digital transformation initiatives from several G20 countries—Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Turkey, and the United States—as well as one invited country, namely the United Arab Emirates.

The development of digital transformation in Indonesia, as showcased at the expo, is not inferior to that of these countries, Tayyiba remarked.

Moreover, the common thread that can be seen in Indonesia and other countries, based on the expo, is that digitalization is an inevitability, she said.

To this end, what needs to be done is figuring out how this digitalization can be adopted, developed, and utilized in an optimal manner. In addition, digital transformation should be done collaboratively, she noted.

"We expect that collaboration will become the foundational spirit for us to conduct digital transformation," she said.

"This is so that we are more connected and have a similar vision to realize an inclusive, empowering, and sustainable digital transformation," she added.

DTE is being held at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center here from November 13 to November 17.
