"The ministry continues its commitment to facilitate our filmmakers' works, so that we can make an appearance in various countries and renowned festivals in the form of matching fund or travel brand facilities," he remarked.
Moreover, Indonesia's film industry is becoming more inclusive. Indonesian filmmakers also won noteworthy achievements on the global stage, he noted during the Malam Anugerag Piala Citra Festival Film Indonesia event, here, Tuesday.
Makarim also urged all Indonesian filmmakers to continue to develop an international network and be more brave in bringing their works to the global market.
According to the minister, more Indonesian films will garner the attention of the international world that will in turn significantly help to strengthen the domestic film ecosystem.
Moreover, this will bolster the nation's diplomatic position on the global stage, he added.
"Let us present an inclusive and global-oriented film ecosystem to realize cultural independence for all Indonesians," he remarked.

Meanwhile, Makarim deemed the 2022 Indonesia Film Festival (FFI) to be a special occasion, given that it raised the theme of "Perempuan: Citra, Karya dan Karsa" (Women: Image, Work and Intention).
According to the minister, film production from Indonesian women filmmakers always created various breakthroughs.
Several of them also won international awards, such as the director Kamila Andini through "Before, Now & Then (Nana)" starring Laura Basuki, Happy Salma, and Asmara Abigail.
"We have seen breakthroughs from great women, who act as a director, producer, screenwriter, and various other roles that women used to rarely occupy," he remarked.
Makarim urged the people to strengthen the Indonesian film ecosystem by promoting and campaigning domestically produced movies to make the industry more inclusive.
