Another example (of mental burnout) is 'tilting', this is not good, like fainting. What if people faint continuously? What causes tilting in them should be looked for, (and the athletes) need to find new habitsNusa Dua, Bali (ANTARA) - Maintaining mental health is important for everyone in any profession, including esports athletes, who often experience burnouts, Garudaku Academy mental performance coach Andromeda Manuputty told ANTARA on Thursday.
"Another example (of mental burnout) is 'tilting', this is not good, like fainting. What if people faint continuously? What causes tilting in them should be looked for, (and the athletes) need to find new habits," Manuputty remarked on the sidelines of the IESF - 14th World Esports Championships in Bali.
According to Manuputty, many esports players experience burnout and mental block, wherein they usually have a limiting thought of only being able to reach the runner-up position or thinking they will lose against one particular opponent.

This condition may be caused by extra-hard training that can affect the players' mental health and physical fitness.
There are many methods to maintain mental health, which Manuputty differed for each player and each team, especially during the competition. He stated, mental health, in this case, is "mental performance."
Esports athletes are advised to take breaks and refresh themselves to restore their mental performance.
Meanwhile, he assessed that Indonesian esports national team athletes are quite capable of maintaining their mental health, although some habits still need to be corrected to boost their performance.

"There are things we need to upgrade, such as the habits of resting, substitution activities, where some choose to smoke, do not believe that nutrition is important, that sports boost their mental performance. This is what we need to slowly change," Manuputty explained.
Maintaining mental health is deemed crucial, as players may become coaches later and even administrators of national federations, so they can have a positive impact on the esports ecosystem in future.
However, Manuputty believes there is no need yet for special regulations to obligate esports clubs to provide mental health or performance coaches for players.
