The minister arrived at the Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, at 9 a.m. local time and immediately entered the Jakarta Governor Office Hall. Hartono welcomed Sadikin, who wore a brown batik shirt.
The duo then entered the Jakarta City Hall's Leadership Meeting Room to discuss efforts to accelerate the reduction of stunting in Jakarta.
Sadikin has earlier informed the media crew while surveying the children health service in Semper Barat, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Tuesday, that he will meet with the health minister to discuss stunting handling in Jakarta.
The data related to the number of cases of stunting will also be synchronized between the Jakarta provincial government and related institutions in the central government.
"We expect that, with respect, the minister will properly discuss, synchronize the data," he remarked.
In connection with the stunting data, the provincial government is still conducting data collection, he stated.
Despite this, he encouraged the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), Ministry of Health, and Statistics Indonesia (BPS) to determine the number of cases of stunting based on name and address.
This step is taken, so that the Jakarta provincial government can conduct direct accurate handling.
"I do not have any problem concerning the data. I accept all data, and what is important is that we handle it on the field," Sadikin remarked.
Earlier, Head of BKKBN Hasto Wardoyo stated that there are around 110 thousand stunted infants in Jakarta.
He noted that based on the BKKBN data, Jakarta has at least around 790 thousand infants.
In addition, the stunting prevalence rate is estimated to have reached 14 percent, thereby translating to the fact that some 110 thousand infants suffer from stunting.
