The second booster vaccination program, supported by several private parties, is held on February 1-3, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. local time at the Sapta Pesona Building, Central Jakarta.
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, at a media gathering event, here, Wednesday, explained that this is undertaken as an effort to expedite vaccination in addition to improving Indonesians' protection against COVID-19.
"Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy lauded the actions from every party, who move quickly to support the vaccination acceleration program, particularly in the tourism and creative economy sector," he remarked.
"This vaccination program is one of our strategies to be able to expedite the realization of herd immunity for Indonesians," he affirmed.
This vaccination acceleration measure can boost the tourism potential of Indonesia and the trust of both local and international tourists, Uno noted.
Moreover, it is expected to open several job opportunities for tourism and creative economy actors.
"Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy continues to work to design this vaccination program to be able to target all actors of tourism and creative economy across all of Indonesia," he stated.
Participants seeking to undergo vaccination should have the fourth vaccine electronic ticket available in the PeduliLindungi application.
However, if they have not received the ticket but have already received the first booster vaccination within a time span of six months, then they can participate and receive the second booster vaccination.
Pfizer and Zifivax brand of vaccines can currently be used for administering the second booster vaccination.
