Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Public Works and Public Housing Ministry has said that the infrastructure development of the Kanigara Building at Jakarta Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) has been completed in four months and has met all building reliability standards.

"We have ensured that all aspects are met, making this building a safe and comfortable public service space for its users," said Diana Kusumastuti, Director of Human Settlements at the ministry, during the building's inauguration on Friday.

Kusumastuti expressed her satisfaction with the completion of the Kanigara Building, which will provide integrated services such as transplantation, uro-nephrology, hepatology, diabetes treatment, surgery, and an intensive care unit (ICU).

She expected the new building to support the provision of better medical and health services to the public.

The ministry monitored the infrastructure development of the Kanigara Building directly, including technical standards, hospital facilities, and administrative requirements.

The Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati inaugurated the building, which was the result of collaboration between the Health Ministry, Finance Ministry, Public Works and Public Housing Ministry, and State-Owned Enterprises Ministry.

"I express my gratitude and congratulations to the RSCM team and all stakeholders, such as the Finance Ministry and the Public Works and Public Housing Ministry, who have contributed well to the completion of this building," said Minister Sadikin.

He noted that integrated services would support coordination among doctors, allowing for effective and efficient medical services.

"The services must be good, must provide innovation, and support for regional hospitals must be maintained," he advised.

The Finance Ministry disbursed Rp348.7 billion (US$22.7 million) from the National Economic Recovery budget for the development of RSCM's Kanigara Building.
