The main goal is to reach the 2023 target, with the number of international tourist visits reaching 7.4 million
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry yet again participates in the world's biggest tourism exhibition called the Internationale Tourismus-Börse (ITB) Berlin 2023 held on March 7-9, 2023, in Berlin, Germany.

"The theme that Indonesia raised for this year's ITB Berlin is 'Visit Wonderful Indonesia 2023: Explore Our New Destinations' that focuses on five super-priority tourism destinations," Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno stated.

The ministry facilitates 64 tourism companies that include accommodation service providers and travel agents to promote and sell various tourism packages, he noted through a statement on Wednesday.

He expects that through this promotion, the five super-priority tourism destinations would become more popular in the international world.

This promotion is also expected to broaden Indonesia's tourism beyond Bali since statistical data indicated that 41 percent of Indonesian tourism is still centered around this island.

"The main goal is to reach the 2023 target, with the number of international tourist visits reaching 7.4 million," he remarked.

Marketing Deputy at the Ministry Ni Made Ayu Marthini affirmed that the ministry also promotes tourist villages. A total of 100 tourist villages have been curated and are ready to welcome tourists.

To promote Indonesia's array of spices and foods, the ministry has developed the "Indonesia Spice Up The World (ISUTW)" program that will be introduced at the ITB Berlin 2023.

"All of this is expected to be promoted and introduced to the international world through the ITB Berlin 2023," she stated.

Industry actors participating in the event are also expected to promote the five super-priority destinations and reach the potential transaction target as well as foreign exchange target, she affirmed.
