"We from the West Java Education Office ask students, schools, and students' parents to utilize the Stopper application," Secretary of the West Java Education Office Yesa Sarwedi said at a discussion held here on Monday.
During the discussion, themed "Realizing Amazing West Java Education Without Bullying and Violence,” he informed that the Stopper app has four services that can be accessed by the public: assistance, reporting, education, and consultation.
"Stopper requires some time, but every report will be responded to; this will be done," he assured.
The office said that it expects Stopper to be more effective in preventing bullying since every report will be responded to.
“The West Java Education Office is also cooperating with the DP3AKB (Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population, and Family Planning Office) and Jabar Digital Service," Sarwedi said.
The application, which was unveiled in January 2023, has so far recorded eight cases of bullying. Many of the eight reports were made anonymously.
Of the cases reported on the Stopper app, one bullying case was filed against a teacher, three against students, and four against others.
"The cases varied. From these eight, there are six boys and two girls. Two are anonymous while six mentioned names," he informed.
In addition to verifying the complaints with schools and creating the application.
