"The beauty of nature and landscape on the way to the Cibeusi Tourism Village is extraordinary. One of the interesting sites there is the waterfall Curug Ciangin that is nine meters in height. Under the waterfall forms a pool, with a depth of five meters," he explained.
Green rice fields and clear rivers can be seen in the Ciangin Curug area, he stated.
Apart from being amazed by nature's beauty, Uno also admitted to feeling astonished by the culture and existence of creative micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Cibeusi Tourism Village.
There are other creative businesses, including several cultural attractions, one of which is the traditional lion dance Sisingaan.
The Cibeusi Tourism Village is 150 km or about a three-hour drive from Jakarta. The minister said Subang can be an alternative tourism destination for people keen to travel to Puncak, Bogor.
"Why drive seven to nine hours to Puncak? There is everything including the waterfall in Subang. The Cibeusi Tourism Village can be defined as the Jawara (Great, Special, and Prosperous) Tourism Village," Uno explained.
He urged related parties to increase collaboration with a private party to help expedite the realization of 4.4 million new jobs in 2024, with tourism villages as the main pillar through the 2023 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI).
Moreover, Uno pressed for the Cibeusi Tourism Village to improve safety, so that tourists can feel safe and comfortable while traveling there.
"For this reason, we support facilities and infrastructure for safety," he remarked.
