There are several hospital business players who have expressed their interest and we will announce them soon.Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo has asked the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) to begin constructing education and health facilities without delay in Indonesia’s future capital (IKN), Nusantara, in East Kalimantan.
Deputy head of the OIKN, Dhony Rahajoe, made the statement after attending a meeting chaired by President Widodo at Merdeka Palace here on Wednesday.
The government will provide assistance to expedite the establishment of excellent and quality schools in IKN, he said.
It is expected that by May 2023, OIKN would have selected which superior hospital establishment project will be implemented in the IKN out of the several proposals received, he added.
“There are several hospital business players who have expressed their interest and we will announce them soon," Rahajoe said.
He also expressed the hope that the first hospital in IKN will have international cooperation.

The government will collaborate with various investors through the public-private partnership (PPP) scheme for building public facilities with rational financing, he informed.
Rahajoe aid that the authority will see the results of the feasibility studies first to determine the rational costs of the projects, which can be used as a benchmark to implement the PPP scheme.
Not only domestic investors, currently, several foreign investors have also shown interest in participating in the PPP scheme, he noted.
"The IKN Authority is planning to carry out a roadshow in May (2023) to promote the implementation of projects with PPP schemes to various foreign investors," he informed.
Rahajoe said that the government has issued a number of legal bases for the implementation of the PPP scheme, including Government Regulations (PP) Number 63 of 2019 on Government Investment.
Another legal basis has been PP Number 12 of 2023 concerning the Granting of Business Licensing, Ease of Business, and Investment Facilities for Business Players in Nusantara Capital, he added. (INE)
