Jakarta (ANTARA) - Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Minister Nadiem Anwar Makarim has launched the Education Report Card platform version 2.0 to support educational units in conducting data-based program planning.

"We have launched the Education Report Card platform to help educational units carry out data-based planning," he informed here on Wednesday.

Makarim said that through the platform, educational units can use the National Assessment results as evaluation material to improve aspects of education.

These aspects include literacy and numeracy competence, the Pancasila Student Profile, and learning environment safety from violence or abuse.

The ministry noted that one in two education units in Indonesia have not reached the minimum competence in literacy and numeracy.

The ministry has continued to receive inputs and aspirations from stakeholders for optimizing the Education Report Card platform’s utilization.

The results of the evaluation of Education Report Card version 1.0 were incorporated into the platform's version 2.0 to support the relevancy of data and insights for educational units.

Access to the Education Report Card platform’s version 2.0 has also been expanded to educators, thereby, opening up opportunities for cooperation between heads of educational units, educators, education personnel, and school operators.

The access expansion indicates that the improvements not only involve heads of educational units, but also all of the education unit community.

"Now the heads of education units, educators, education staff, and school operators can participate in understanding the condition of educational units and setting priorities for improvement together," Makarim said.

The Education Report Card platform version 2.0 can be used by early childhood educational units (PAUD), and primary, secondary, extraordinary, and vocational schools.

Head of the Ministry's Educational Standards, Curriculum, and Assessment Agency (BSKAP) Anindito Aditomo informed that the Education Report Card is aimed at reviving a culture of reflection, which encourages discussions on finding solutions to problems in school environments.
