Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) will organize the 2023 Ordinary Congress on Sunday (May 28) in Jakarta, according to its official website.

Several agendas to be discussed at the ordinary congress will include the ratification of the 2023 PSSI programs and funding plan, the ratification of the independent auditor, and the approval of the dismissal and changes to the names and domiciles of PSSI members.

The ratification of PSSI's judiciary body and the improvement of the PSSI disciplinary code will also be deliberated during the congress.

Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo, representatives from the Indonesia National Sports Committee (KONI), the Indonesia National Olympics Committee (NOC), and several institutions are expected to attend the congress.

PSSI executive committee member Arya Sinulingga stated that he expects the congress to take place safely and smoothly and to be able to produce accountable decisions.

"I also highly laud all delegates and invitees who will attend the ordinary congress," Sinulingga stated.

The congress will be attended by 87 delegates with voting rights, and they will register their attendance on Saturday.

PSSI's 2023 Ordinary Congress will be the first congress under the leadership of Erick Thohir, who was selected as PSSI chief during the federation's Extraordinary Congress last February.

Thohir and the PSSI leadership board for 2023-2027 were recently inaugurated by KONI Chairperson Marciano Norman on Friday (May 26).

Thohir will work alongside Zainuddin Amali and Ratu Tisha Destria as deputy chairpersons, and Eko Setiawan, Endri Erawan, Juni Rahman, Muhammad Rudi Yulianto, Sumardji, Vivin Cahyani, Pieter Tanuri, Arya Sinulingga, Khairul Anwar, Ahmad Riyadh, and Hasnuryadi as members of the executive committee.

The PSSI leadership board will handle various agendas after the ordinary congress, including the FIFA Match Day with Palestine in Surabaya on June 14 and with Argentina in Jakarta on June 19, as well as qualifications for the 2026 World Cup in October.
