Jakarta (ANTARA) - Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo is committed to ensuring that the ministry he leads can operate in a transparent manner, and hence, accepted the visit from the National Police's Corruption Prevention Special Task Force.

The visit became part of the two institutions' collaboration to prevent acts of corruption.

"I want to ensure that governance within the ministry is accountable and transparent as well as upholds the integrity known as anti-corruption," the minister remarked here on Monday.

The collaboration between the two institutions for the purpose of corruption prevention has been conducted through several discussions that are then followed by assistance in the ministry's environment.

"The presence of this collaboration ensures that in future, budget management in the ministry has high good governance value and in accordance with the norms and regulations established by the country," he remarked.

The police's Corruption Prevention Special Task Force's officials, Novel Baswedan and Yudi Purnomo, were present during the visit.

"In the ministry, we support anti-corruption activities, system improvement, and others," Baswedan said.

"We certainly expect that activities in the ministry during the minister's (Ariotedjo's) leadership period can proceed well and certainly be within the corridor of anti-corruption and good integrity," he affirmed.

On a separate occasion, Purnomo remarked that in future, the police's Corruption Prevention Special Task Force can detect corruption, conduct analysis, and monitor the ministry's environment.

"Within the next several weeks, we will hold meetings for technical discussion, so that the Youth and Sports Ministry can be one of the anti-corruption ministries," Purnomo remarked.
