"We have reached the finalization stage. All preparations, including the guests' departure and the concept of the event, have been arranged. It is now only a matter of finalization," Haris stated after attending the preparation meeting in Pangkal Pinang City, Bangka Belitung, on Sunday.
He added that the entire preparation team and related coordinators have been prepared and are ready to carry out their respective duties.
Regarding the guest pick-up service, the provincial government will only provide it to VVIP guests. Meanwhile, other guests are welcomed to use facilities provided by cooperating vendors, he pointed out.
Haris informed that the national meeting will take place from July 5-8 and will be attended by approximately 1,600 participants, including heads of Bampemperda, heads of provincial legal bureaus, as well as council secretaries at provincial, district, and municipal levels throughout Indonesia.
"This national meeting will possibly bring together approximately 1,600 participants from provinces, districts, and cities throughout Indonesia," he noted.
The projected number of participants, he added, will likely result in a very large cash flow circulating in the province.
"This meeting will be held from July 5-8, 2023. Let's say one participant spends Rp5 million (US$334) in a day, if it is multiplied by 2,000 people, there will be around Rp10 billion (US$669 thousand) money circulating in Babel Islands," he pointed out.
Furthermore, Haris also said that the provincial government aims to empower the community by hosting the national coordination meeting in the hopes of stimulating the province's economy.
