On substantial level, the State Official's Assets Report has administrative sanction, hence, currently, the KPK is developing a new strategyJakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has said that it expects Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo to submit his State Official's Assets Report (LHKPN) soon.
"We expect that all state officials who are mandated to report their assets would submit their State Official's Assets Report, whether on a regular basis or when they just held the position," the Head of Information at the commission, Ali Fikri, said here on Wednesday.
He disclosed that his administration has been made aware that the minister will submit the assets report soon.
The KPK has responded positively to the confirmation and is waiting for Ariotedjo to hand over the data as part of fulfilling his duties as a state official, Fikri said.
"We (encourage) for (him) to submit the State Official's Assets Report, we can clarify it and continue with the next proceedings," he added.
There are no strict sanctions imposed on state officials who are late in reporting their assets, he said.
However, the commission is currently preparing a new strategy to improve its function of monitoring progress through the asset reports, Fikri informed.
"On substantial level, the State Official's Assets Report has administrative sanction, hence, currently, the KPK is developing a new strategy," he pointed out.
As of Wednesday, Minister Ariotedjo's assets report was yet to be listed on the KPK's website, elhkpn.kpk.go.id, he noted.
Ariotedjo was sworn in as Youth and Sports Minister on April 3, 2023, by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). He replaced Zainudin Amali, who resigned from the position on March 9 to focus on the National Football Association (PSSI).
Ariotedjo served as general chairperson of the central leadership council of National Youth Reform (AMPI), a youth organization of the Golkar Party from 2017 to 2022.
