Antaranews.com won one of the 2023 Kasad Award's 10 nominations, representing the 10 strategic issues for the Army.
"I wish to congratulate the online media that won the 2023 Kasad Award from among the national and regional media as well as student press," TNI-AD Chief of Staff General Dudung Abdurachman stated at the press conference after the awarding night here on Monday (July 10).
"The Kasad Award is to appreciate what has been done by online media reporting the 10 issues with strategic values," he emphasized.
On the awarding night, ANTARA News Agency was represented by Managing Editor GNC Aryani, who received the Kasad Award's trophy and certificate from Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration Minister Abdul Halim Iskandar.
Meanwhile, in her remarks, Press Council chief Ninik Rahayu, who headed the award's judging panel, stated that the Kasad Award is not a competition but is an appreciation to press enterprises deemed consistent in publishing reports about the Indonesian Army, particularly on the 10 strategic issues.
Those key issues are diversity and tolerance, anti-radicalism, gender streamlining, digital innovation, international solidarity, Army alleviating the people's suffering, development in 3T regions, child protection, stunting eradication, and cultural preservation.
Each nomination winner was determined by the assessment of three million articles from 221 online national, regional, and student media nationwide conducted by the judging panel.
The Press Council chief stated that the assessed articles were those published between May 2022 and May 2023.
In the final stage, the award was bestowed on 10 national media, including ANTARA, 10 regional media, and four university students' press.
