Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Manpower Ministry expressed its commitment to executing digital transformation of manpower-related archives in a bid to preserve its records of work performance.

Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah stated in Jakarta on Thursday that her ministry has launched a digital application called Manpower Ministry's Archival Evaluation System (SEKAR) as an effort to translate the commitment into concrete actions.

According to the minister, the SEKAR application will help the ministry convert all documents, photos, and videos recording its activities into a digital format in order to preserve the records for the future.

"The records of all the activities will serve as testaments through which we can reminisce about all of our works. We have to preserve the memories and treat them as a source of knowledge and wisdom for the present and the future," she remarked.

Minister Fauziyah made the statement while attending the Archive Movement in the Digital Era event themed, "Make Archives as Proof of Work Performance."

In addition to SEKAR, the Manpower Ministry continues to endeavor to become the best party in archive digital transformation by implementing the use of the Integrated Dynamic Archive Information System (SRIKANDI) application since 2021, thereby becoming the first ministry to do so, she said.

"This (achievement) proves the staunch commitment of the Manpower Ministry to facing the challenges in archive digitization efforts towards digital transformation in the archive sector," she noted.

To further strengthen the commitment, on the occasion, Minister Fauziyah also presented awards to exemplary archivists, dedicated archive managers, the best archive supervisors within a working unit, and the most active working unit in the SRIKANDI application.

"We would like to appreciate the awardees and hope that their achievements will motivate the others to further boost the quality of archive management," she remarked.
