Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) assured Chinese businessmen of Indonesia's commitment to maintaining a stable and well-run investment climate.

Jokowi made this assurance at a business meeting with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce in China (Inacham) and several local businessmen at the Shang-ri La Hotel, Chengdu, China, Friday.

The president also urged investors to not hesitate to be vocal about the obstacles they encounter while investing in Indonesia.

"If you encounter problems regarding land acquisition and permits, please convey them to us," he noted as quoted from an official statement from the Presidential Secretariat Press Bureau in Jakarta on Friday.

The head of state emphasized that his side is receptive to all information and complaints regarding problems faced by investors.

"We will accommodate all information and complaints from all of you," he remarked.

President Jokowi also lauded the presence of several Chinese investors that have invested in Indonesia.

To this end, the president outlined several priority investment projects implemented by the Indonesian government starting from the electric vehicle ecosystem, new renewable energy, and the construction of the new capital city (IKN) Nusantara.

"I see that some of the gentlemen here have started to build an electric vehicle ecosystem that we want to build in the future," he stated.

According to Jokowi, the new and renewable energy sector could be the best choice for Chinese businessmen to invest in Indonesia.

"I think this is a very good opportunity in the future. We are aiming toward green energy will environmentally friendly products. The product sales can take place in a premium position," he affirmed.

Accompanying the president at the meeting were Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy; Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno Marsudi; Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin; Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Bahlil Lahadalia; Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun; and Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Arsjad Rasjid.
