Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno stated that the regulation on the digital one-stop licensing service for arts and sports events is currently in the finalization stage.

The one-stop system enables permits to be issued 14-21 days prior to the event.

"Currently, it is still in the finalization stage, and we are also coordinating with the police," Uno noted in a press release received here Thursday.

According to the minister, the licensing service will be trialed for five venues in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi, among others, the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), and Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) stadium.

He explained that earlier, the event organizers complained about the uncertainty in licensing, in which the license had only been issued several hours before the start of the event.

"We hope the process would be completed in 21 days for permits. For large concerts, it is expected that three months before the concert is held, the license can already be issued," he stated.

Meanwhile, for smaller concerts, it is expected that one month before the concert is held, the license can already be issued, he further noted.

"Thus, the license is not issued at the last minute," he remarked.

Uno noted that the digitalization of event licensing is also expected to accelerate the licensing process.

The licensing digitalization pilot project will be trialed in September and evaluated periodically.

As an effort to revive the music industry in Indonesia, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is supporting the "Dewa 19 featuring All Stars – Stadium Tour 2023" concert that presents the country's famous band, Dewa 19.

The concert was held at Manahan Stadium, Solo, on July 29 and at the GBK Main Stadium, Jakarta, on August 12. The concert will also be held at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung, on August 19.
