Jakarta (ANTARA) - South Korea will bring a team that focuses on electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem cooperation to realize Golden Indonesia 2045.

"South Korea will develop and take a team to Indonesia to realize the Golden Indonesia 2045. For that, we will cooperate in the industry sector in the future, which is electric vehicles," President of South Korea Yoon Suk-yeol stated during a bilateral meeting with President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday.

President Yoon emphasized that South Korea would further cooperate with Indonesia, as it is a suitable partner.

Moreover, he appraised Indonesia as one of the important countries in the ASEAN region that prioritizes freedom and peace.

He also expected that South Korea's solidarity with the ASEAN region would continue.

"For us, Indonesia is an important country in the ASEAN region. Indonesia prioritizes freedom, peace, and law extraordinarily," Yoon stated.

During a meeting that closed a series of the ASEAN Summit with partners' meeting, Yoon congratulated Indonesia on its successful chairmanship and organizing the 43rd ASEAN Summit.

"I would like to congratulate the president on the success in organizing extraordinarily the 43rd ASEAN Summit," he remarked.

The bilateral meeting between Indonesia and South Korea also coincided with 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
